Regional President Fabra inaugurates the new Torrevieja Tourist Office

The new installations, located on the Paseo Vista Alegre, will also house the International Residents’ Attention Office (OARI)

In the presence of the Regional Government’s president, Alberto Fabra; Councillor for Tourism, Máximo Buch; for Infrastructures, Isabel Bonig; the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón; and all the members of his local council, the new Torrevieja Tourism Office was inaugurated on Friday.

Located on the Paseo Vista Alegre, for many years the building housed the Miramar restaurant. This magnificent setting has views of the bay of Torrevieja and include and area for attending to the public, an internal work area and a storeroom.

During the inauguration, Eduardo Dolón said that today ‘Torrevieja’s dream of having space to attend to our tourists has come true’ and he recognised the importance of this sector for the economy of the municipality. President Fabra highlighted the commitment of the Regional Government to tourism, ‘a sector that represents 12.6% of the GDP and more than 270,000 jobs in the Valencian Community’.

The installations are equipped with new technology, computer tablets for making enquiries and a touch screen outside from which users can access information at any time of day.
